VOICE offers interactive workshops for schools, places of worship, and youth groups. The sessions are engaging, informative, and educational. These workshops are delivered to empower young people to combat social issues they may be facing.
All workshops are tailored to each key stage ensuring age-appropriate content. We thrive on delivering memorable workshops which make a lasting positive impact.
Due to an increase in racially motivated attacks against Sikhs, Voice also delivers engaging workshops on Who is a Sikh?, covering its history, traditions, values, and moral teachings. Our sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible for all ages and backgrounds, making them ideal for schools, community groups, clubs, and other youth organisations.
Whether participants are new to Sikhism or looking to deepen their understanding, Voice provides a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and explore the principles that shape the Sikh way of life. Our workshops promote cultural awareness, open dialogue, and shared values across diverse communities.
We were delighted to welcome Pall from Voice to deliver an engaging and informative talk to our Year 5 and 6 pupils on Sikh beliefs. Pall brought the topic to life by sharing a child-friendly presentation about the history of Sikhism and the relevance of the 5 Ks. He also brought ceremonial Sikh swords, which fascinated the pupils and provided a unique cultural insight.
Pall spoke passionately about the importance of religion and culture in shaping who we are, encouraging the children to explore and take pride in their own cultural roots. His approach was warm, respectful, and inspiring, leaving the pupils with a deeper appreciation of diversity and the values that unite us. It was a truly enriching experience for our school community.
I was lucky enough to be in the audience for a presentation on Sikh Religion led by Pall. I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and found it one of the most engaging and interesting sessions I have experienced in my career, which is a long one…..Pall explained the beliefs and values of Sikhism, i.e. equality, helping others, which really struck me as to why this cannot trickle down to everyone. Pall really presented the information in a way which made sense to us all and certainly had us transfixed.
I found the whole experience so welcoming and open, no question was a stupid question and believe me I had lots of silly questions to ask but unfortunately time was against us, however, I think this was fortunate for Pall.
Pall involved us in the discussion, he didn’t stand at the front and talk at us, he positively involved us, answered our questions patiently and ensured everyone felt comfortable sharing their thoughts.
Pall has really opened my eyes to how much the Sikh religion focuses on kindness, fairness and living a good, honest life, which I wish was shared amongst the world we live in.
Pall has made me reflect on my own values and how I treat others and how I can make improvements.
I cannot recommend Pall enough and would love him to come back to Carwarden for a longer time.
Thank you for visiting our classes on Friday and delivering your workshop about the impacts of bullying and cyber-bullying. The children stated that they felt empowered after your visit and learnt a lot about the importance of their Voice.
They also felt that the real-world scenarios really helped them to understand how important it is to talk to trusted adults and not to bottle things up.
